Join us every Sunday night, starting at 6:30pm at the Community Center and often going into the night, for our Raw Foods Preparation Party and Potluck. Bring a pre-prepared raw dish, or bring a raw ingredient (or two or five or ten) and learn new techniques while preparing raw foods with the community. We also make fresh juices on Sunday nights, so juice ingredients are very welcome. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring stuff fresh from your own garden if you have one, and come eat with us!
March 31, 2007 5-11p.m. Hello, Everyone, In appreciation of Women History Month the Live Oak Outpost presents an event filled with music, art and culture created by local female artist. Experience these talented women as they share their expressions and insight with us this evening. Dinner preparations will begin at 6pm including a fresh picked harvest from the Live Oak Outpost and a homemade lemonade. Vegetarian dishes from our guest are welcome. Admission to this event is a $0-$20 Donation. All funds will be used to building the spring garden at the Outpost. All ages are welcome. Artist and vender's can set up early at no charge. We are in need of some volunteers before, during and after the event. Some duties include watering garden, sweeping, washing dishes, decorating, taking care of the door and helping prep food for dinner. Attached is a flier. Hello Everyone,
We are having another fundraiser this Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 2pm-3am. The event will be a family friendly festival. There will be a kid's area specifically for the kids. Please bring them early so that they can enjoy the beautiful weather in the playground (swings/ sand box/ slide etc).
We will be asking for a $10-$15 donation at the door. Volunteers and kids are free!! All funds will go to create a mobile garden at the Silo Outpost.
There will be vendors on hand selling arts & crafts, beverages and services. We will also have many local active groups that will be sharing some important information with us. If you have a magazine, newspaper, an organization or any other information that you would like to share with us at this event please contact me at call me 713-261-5903.
We are also in need of volunteers before, during, and after the event. Some duties include sweeping, cleaning-up, decorating, taking care of the door and information booth. If you are interested in helping or participating in any way please contact Joe at the number provided above.
The purpose for these fundraisers is to encourage community and awareness on our mission. The mission of the Last Organic Outpost is to collaboratively create and expand community-based agriculture that is locally controlled, environmentally sound, health-promoting and economically viable. The focus is to address life challenges and negative lifestyle choices through education, prevention and wellness to improve the quality of living for an entire community.
All of our events are family friendly oriented so please party consciously!
