NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD SECURITY
Food security is being able to look out the window, walk or bike to your food source. At any given time, we are 60 days out from having a viable food source.
You can work on a food security plan in your neighborhood easily. You don't have to wait for the whole neighborhood to get started! You can plant a few vegetables in anything that will hold dirt and will drain. Doesn't take many plants to feed a single family. Use old dresser drawers, barrels, old toilets, stacked tires, rusty wheelbarrows, wire 4 pallets together for a great planter.
So , think outside the box and if you come up with a cool planter send us a picture and we put it on the website!
