Now that many of you have found your way to the revamped website, we are going to be adding new articles concerning the world wide agricultural movement, along with what's happening in the US, Texas, and local levels. And of course, all the great news from the Emile St farm!
There are many issues out on the horizon which affect the world's agriculture and many of these events trickle down to our local area. In addition, at no time in our history has the general science of agriculture become such an important cornerstone to our life as it is today.
The role of farming practices, irigation styles, and agricultural-seed technology - to name a few subjects - permeate our daily lives in ways which many are oblivious to.
Part of the vision that Joe want's to impart to the Last Organic Outpost community is an awareness of agricultural practices, not only in the role of our organizations primary focus in developing sustainable urban farming - but additionally in the role of our community's understanding of the greater challenges facing the world's farming practices and food supply.
Our hope is that the Last Organic Outpost website will become a useful tool in raising that awareness level by providing a source of focused information. The information platform that is being developed by this website is to enlighten, educate, and bring an eye-opening awareness to many of the critical agricultural issues facing our world.
We hope that you enjoy the website and, much more, we hope that you find it to be a developing resource for you to use.
