“We’re going to bring the farm up to a new level," says Joe.

Joe is taking the week of ‘vacation’ to spend time working on the Outpost. He reports that there will be new compost brought in from Monterey Mushrooms, a new drip irrigation section added, setting two new filtration systems for the mariculture and aquaponics ponds, and work on crop cultivation throughout the farm.

What’s needed? Simple, says Joe, “I need some people out there to help us with the farm that week.”

One of Joe’s plans is pretty ambitious. “We are going to enhance the freshwater tanks filtration system and also test out some saltwater mariculture techniques that might work well with the farm.”

Other projects that he needs some assistance with include, production farming, vermculture, green house construction for raised beds, seawater re-mineralized with 92 trace elements and much more!

Joe says he will be there every day during that week to open the gates around 8:00 AM so there will be plenty of opportunities for anyone to volunteer for as many hours as they can spare, to help.
